About “EU4ART”
In November 2019, The Art Academy of Latvia launched the EU4ART Alliance pilot project in collaboration with three European higher education institutions in Rome, Dresden, and Budapest devoted to fine arts.
EU4ART Alliance aims to establish a European university fine arts curriculum and address challenges that come with common curriculum development and various fine arts discipline modules. The EU4ART Alliance has been granted the mandate to carry out institutional collaboration at an unprecedented level, thus ensuring that is implemented in a systematic, structured, and sustainable manner.
The long-term objective of ‘EU4ART Alliance’ is to examine the existing fine arts curriculums in European universities and to develop a joint practical and theoretical programme in the fields of painting, sculpture, and graphic art for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. A unified curriculum would provide students the opportunity to earn an international degree, as well as to carry out their studies in different EU countries, thus fostering the international competitiveness of European universities.
About “EU4ART Differences”
On 1 January 2021, the AAL and its partner institutions from Rome, Budapest, and Dresden began work on ‘Differences – Artistic research in the European Union’ (‘EU4ART Differences’) as part of the EU research and innovation initiative ‘Horizon 2020’. The project aims to foster academic excellence and research prestige in the field of fine arts through the collaborative efforts of the ‘EU4ART’ partner institutions.
